About jeffcoffy

On top of being a lifelong movie lover, Jeffrey holds a BA in cinema writing from San Francisco State University. While in school he was a founding member of the improvisational theater troupe The Virus. He made his first Super 8 movies as a five year-old with his father, Denny (a fine arts major), and has loved movies ever since. He has co-produced and acted in a feature-length movie (unreleased) and has written several screenplays and short stories in addition to hundreds of movie reviews. Since viewing his first movie, "Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein" at the age of five, Jeffrey has been mainly influenced by the writings of Francois Truffaut in "Cahiers du Cinema", but also by Siskel & Ebert's television show during its prime.
